BlackBerry yesterday put Alicia Keys on the side, after a collaboration of almost a year. Now they are once again embroiled in a famous artist, but under very different circumstances. The company has filed a lawsuit against Typo Products, the company’s TV presenter Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest state in the United States known as the presenter of American Idol. Seacrest was planning to bring a keyboard in Blackberry Style BlackBerry to iPhone but now wants to put a stop to stabbing. The keyboard is too similar to the characteristic keyboard of BlackBerry smartphones.
According BlackBerry Seacrest has the keyboard shamelessly copied by Typo. “We are flattered by the desire to also use our keyboards on other smartphones,” writes BlackBerry in a press release. “But we do not allow that happening without fair compensation for the use of our intellectual property and our technological innovations.”
Typo was coined by entrepreneur Laurence Hallier and the aforementioned television presenter Ryan Seacrest. The keyboard should be displayed.
