Singer Alicia Keys is left after a year as creative director of BlackBerry. The ailing Canadian smartphone company may have fired her.
January 6, 2014 – In February 2013 Alicia Keys was – together with the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 smartphones and the official name change from Research in Motion for BlackBerry – still presented with great fanfare as “creative Director ‘BlackBerry. It was then promised that Alicia “would work with app developers, content developers, retailers, service providers and the entertainment business to the BlackBerry 10 platform to further develop and promote closely.” There is not much came of that, though, when Alicia Keys claimed that “BlackBerry 10 platform with the potential to creative people to be more productive and productive people more creative.”
Alicia Keys ultimately had little impact on the marketing of products or BlackBerry. She showed her face on some BlackBerry events and campaigned for a program which was designed to involve. More young women in science and technology It is not clear whether that Keys has resigned itself (the affinity of an ailing company was obviously not good for her image), or that she was dismissed (because BlackBerry was dissatisfied with her performance and / or wanted to cut).
In October 2013 Lenovo introduced actor Ashton Kutcher as ‘product developer’.
