BlackBerry Messenger will introduce in 2014 a free internet call feature for iOS and Android called BBM Voice. This option is already present in the instant messaging on BlackBerry phones and should serve for example Skype and FaceTime Audio as an alternative. By calling with BlackBerry Messenger, you need to consume, but no call minutes will burn you data if you want to call. With other BBM users
At the moment, BlackBerry BBM Voice tested in a limited beta of the app. It will also look at some other new options. Once the update is available, the app will also get more emoticons, an improved part feature that lets you share a temporary location and a new tab called BBM Channels. In the latter you will find common topics to talk about with other app users with whom you are not friends.
BlackBerry says the additions discussed in the app for iOS and Android can be found in a few months. An exact appearance time was not disclosed, but the update will appear as BlackBerry “before you know it.”
