BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins sees a limited role for tablets in the future. The chief executive said in an interview with Bloomberg that consumers in five years would have to purchase a tablet. No reason According Heins tablets have been no good business model. It seems therefore that BlackBerry will release no more tablets.
early March showed Heins even know that the existing BlackBerry PlayBook tablet will get an upgrade to the new operating system BlackBerry 10. The PlayBook was introduced in 2011, but the device was extensively criticized endure making the sale was not it off the ground. BlackBerry has been struggling for years with declining market share because of competition from Apple’s iPhone and devices with Google’s Android. Earlier this year introduced the new BlackBerry operating system BlackBerry 10. The first smartphones on the BlackBerry platform, the Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10.
