Blackberry promised last year that employees who work on projects around Blackberry 10, would run no danger.

“The workers were part of the New Product Testing Facility, a department that supports the development of BlackBerry. The layoff is part of a plan to promote the efficiency of the company,” said Lisette Kwong Blackberry.
